The town of Hvar is a unique fusion of luxurious Mediterranean nature, rich cultural and historical heritage, and mundane, tourist present. The main industry is tourism, the island, and viticulture, animal husbandry, cultivation of olive and fig trees, fishing and widely known Hvar lavender.
