Vrsar

Croatia / Istria / Vrsar

Vrsar enchants its visitors with the romantic, authentic Istrian atmosphere of an old fishing village. It rises up in a series of terraces around a hill beside the sea, above a picturesque harbour that is naturally protected by a series of small islands. The Italian adventurer, writer and lover Giacomo Casanova fell in love with its beauty and he recorded his visit to Vrsar in his famous memoirs. The Casanovafest event was created in his honour, which through exhibitions, a variety of music and theatre performances, literary evenings and gastronomic delights celebrate love. It is therefore not accidental that the first naturist campsite on the Adriatic - Koversada is right here, which, as with other campsites near the beautiful town centre, nature lovers can enjoy. Vrsar offers guests a high quality hotels and apartments and accommodation in the many private households, and sailors have a marina that has won several awards because of its facilities and impeccable service.
