Sveti Petar is a small resort located in the heart of Dalmatia, near the attractive tourist center – Zadar. Vransko Jezero Nature Park is the largest natural lake in Croatia. It is an unusual and extraordinary bond of land and sea which offers protection for the greatest variety of animal and plant life. The specificities of this park are the ornithological reservoir, home of four different types of endangered species of birds on the European level and seven on the national level, a rich history (the first extractions date back to 2000 year BC). The landmarks of the park are the following: late antique tower “Orsidak” (built in the 4th century), Venitian tower “Orsidak” (built in the 15th century as the last line of defense from the Turkish attacks on Vrana lake and the Adriatic coast), Babin škoj peninsula, Vrana old town and many others.
