Stari Grad (Old Town) is a town in Splitsko – Dalmatinska County. It is located on the island Hvar. Stari Grad is the oldest town in the whole country, and that’s why it carries this name. Connections with mainland are very good, as there is direct ferry line from Split to Stari Grad, which transfer passengers and vehicles few times a day even the outside of the season. Total population of Stari Grad is 2817 inhabitants, but that is with neighborhood villages while just Stari Grad has 1906 inhabitants.
