Plitvice lakes are situated within the most famous National park in Croatia and are one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in Europe. They are located on the area between the Mala Kapela and Licka Pljesevica, more precisely in Central Croatia. It is a forestry mountain area which contains 16 beautiful lakes, one below another. These lakes are connected with cascades and noisy waterfalls, filled by numerous small rivers and streams. The Park can attract and astonish you with beautiful natural forests, beech and fir, the spruce, maple, ash, pine trees and their spring floral rug, the summer freshness, autumn colors and the winter whiteness of the snow cover. The mountain meadows and hills offer a view of the mountains, waters and covert villages. It was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List because of its natural diversity.
