Arriving by car

If you come to Istria from the western direction, from Slovenia, you will cross one of three border crossings; Plovanija - Secovlje, Kastel-Dragonja or Požane - Socerga. Rabac-pearl of Kvarner

Well-known tourist resort of Rabac mid-19th Century is a small fishing village with hardly ten houses. Due to the beautiful bay and splendid, tame surroundings, it soon attracted first visitors. One of the first visitors was a passionate English writer and Richard Francis Burton, who stayed in Rabac still 1876th year.
The first hotel in Rabac "Quarnero" opened on 11th June 1889th year.
