Neighborhood
It is located in the southernmost part of Karlovac County. It covers an area of 261km2. Municipality has 3,100 inhabitants, living in 26 villages.
The town of Rakovica appears in the Middle Ages. In the history of the famous uprising of October RAKOVICKA 1871.godine led by Eugene Kvaternika.
The second major settlement, first mentioned in the 11th century, the city frankopan Drežnik. At the time of the Turkish conquest was a very important center of defense, repeatedly conquered, destroyed and rebuilt again. Today the remains of forts are protected cultural monument.
