Omis is an old town located at the mouth of the river Cetina. The city is located about 25 km southeast of Split, the second largest city in Croatia. Medici is only 11 km from Omis and it is a city that is closest medic.

Omis history dating back to the 6th century. Church of St. Euphemia, located in O., one of the oldest in Croatia. Omis is perhaps best known for its infamous pirates, pirates, old town Omis (Radicevic) who ruled this part of the coast during the Middle Ages. Pirates have had their famous ships Sagit, which are designed to attack and quickly retreat into canyon where they guarded the city from outside intruders. Important historical monuments in O. St. Peter's Church in the 10th century fortress Mirabella from 13th century, the fortress of the 15th Fortica century, the Church of the Holy Spirit from the 15th century Franciscan monastery from the 18th century.
